Elayne takes a practical and problem solving approach to dog training lessons. Further, she coaches you through what she has shown you so when you have "a go" there is a sense of mastery - a "learn by doing" approach. Our dog breed is known to be "laws unto themselves". However after our session with Elayne we felt that we were well on our way to becoming "head of the pack". Elayne has kept in contact to reinforce our efforts. She continues to provide support and we think we are winning! We can recommend Elayne as a highly competent and patient trainer who understands owners and their dogs. Consequently she is able to develop a personalized programme to suit both owner and dog which, in our situation, is leading to very satisfactory outcomes dogs who know we are boss! Ruby is very good. We took our 4 month old Labrador Jack along to ZeroBites Dog Training and decided to do the one-on-one training sessions with Elayne. The sessions were interesting and informative, and were as much about our behaviour as Jacks. Elayne was extreamely knowledgable and showed us a number of activities and techniques to improve Jacks behaviour and obedience. We felt ZeroBites was very good value for money and with the knowledge gained we will continue to improve Jacks behaviour. ZeroBites Dog Training is highly recommended. So we thought private one on one training was ideal. We have learn't so much from Elayne about training and dog behaviour and so has our dog.. We now feel confident that we can handle any situation. December 2008 I enrolled my dog in obedience lessons almost out of obligation, he was quite an aggressive boy who was not endearing himself to me or my family. These lessons were my last resort befor we seriously considered rehoming him or, worst case scenario, putting him down, due to his biting of myself and young children. Five weeks later I have a completely different dog and I am proud to say I love my little man to pieces. Elayne not only helped me understand my boy but he absolutely loved going to see her. He has changed so much, all for the better and has become an integral part of our family. I can't fathom how I used to look at him and think how ugly he was, when now, all I see is a beautiful boy with eyes full of love.
